You've probably heard of stories of big time gamblers being thrown out of the casinos of Las Vegas for various reasons. There have been many stories of people cheating, deceiving and scamming their way to fortunes along the casino strip, only to be caught, thrown out on their backside and end up with nothing. Any form of cheating or rule bending is simply not tolerated at casinos. The most famous example of this is the classic Blackjack card counter, who merely uses his own skill to give himself a slight edge in the game without the use of any cheating or devices. Even this seemingly harmless indiscretion has left many card counters banned from entering any casinos on the entire Las Vegas strip!

Well the same thing applies when you play at an online casino. You can easily be banned and blacklisted from playing at one or more casinos if you bend the rules – innocently or otherwise. This article describes some tips to keep in mind when you play online to ensure that you avoid being blacklisted.

The most important and obvious tip is to only ever open one account at an online casino. Never share an account with friends, never create multiple accounts on behalf of other people and never use another person's credit card. Online casinos will monitor the IP address of the computer being used, so if you create multiple accounts from the same computer then expect to hear from the casino support team. Many casinos will only allow one account per computer per household. This is to ensure that people do not abuse the bonuses and promotions that the casino offers. If you genuinely have extra accounts for your husband/wife/sibling then don't be too concerned – just contact support first to let them know and you should be fine.

Brick and mortar casinos do not allow game altering devices to be used with their casino games, so similarly online casinos do not allow you to alter the casino software to your advantage. Do not alter the software or cheat the games at all. If you discover a software glitch or malfunction, and you manipulate it to your advantage then this is considered cheating and will lead to your winnings being confiscated and your account being banned.

Also avoid the constant disputing of wins or charges. If you are constantly lodging disputes and causing trouble with support then they are likely to flag your account which may lead to being banned.

Similarly do not constantly abuse bonus offers or promotions. Bonuses are designed as a way to attract new players and reward existing customers with extended game play. Bonus hunting techniques such as a large 'double-up' bet, followed by low-risk wagering to clear a bonus may be considered as bonus abuse. Read the terms and conditions of the site very carefully before attempting any bonus or promotional offer. If you play a variety of games at the casino and continue to play there even when the promotion is over then you shouldn't have any problems.

Remember that a ban at one casino could lead to a blacklist at many since some casinos are owned by same company under the same network and will communicate this to their sister casinos. So always try to do the right thing and keep the above tips in mind to avoid being banned and continue to enjoy playing at online casinos into the future.
